Dr. Mohammed Al Azzawi, DDS, MS, MS, PHD
Dr. Al Azzawi is board certified, a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), and a nationally and internationally outstanding trained specialist. He is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and the American Dental Association® (ADA). He has more than 20 years of experience practicing dentistry and orthodontics, including several years in academia. He has won multiple awards and has extensive publications in peer-reviewed US and international scientific journals in fields of orthodontics, dentistry, lasers in dentistry, cell culturing, molecular biology and genetics.
Dr. Al Azzawi started his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. Then, he received his dental degree and master’s degree in laser dentistry from the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry.
He received his doctoral degree (PhD) with his first specialty training in orthodontics from the Universality of Science Malaysia. On top of that, he completed his postdoctoral studies and second specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health. Also, he accomplished his additional master’s degree in health professionals education from University of Rochester Warner School of Education.
In his spare time, Dr. Al Azzawi enjoys kayaking, hiking and cooking with his two boys.
Dr. Sarah Al Kukash, DDS, MS, MS, PHD
Dr. Sarah is a diplomate and board-certified member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Sarah is also a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). Dr. Sarah loves practicing pediatric and sedation dentistry and is beyond ecstatic to be here locally in Manvel, Texas. She also offers conscious, non-conscious and IV sedation.
Dr. Sarah Al Kukash is a nationally and internationally trained pediatric specialist with more than 18 years of dental experience and more than eight years in academic teaching.
She attained her dental degree in dentistry at the University of Baghdad in Iraq, and proceeded to complete her Master of Science in pediatric dentistry. During her time with the University of Baghdad, Dr. Al Kukash participated in numerous scientific research fields related to dentistry, tissue engineering and molecular biology and genetics. Upon completing her DDS and MS, Dr. Al Kukash took her education a step further and attained her PhD in pediatric dentistry at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
After moving to her home in the US, Dr. Al Kukash finished her third pediatric residency and second master’s degree in dental science at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Dr. Al Kukash strives to make each patient feel comfortable during their pediatric dental treatment journey by alleviating any apprehension they may have. She uses state-of-the-art treatment techniques to provide her patient with a unique experience of outstanding care. She makes it her personal goal to put every patient at ease by treating them with the same care and concern she would with her own children.
When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Al Kukash enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors in the great state of Texas and beyond.
